Re-enactmenr Gambling and board games
During mediaeval times, pastimes included dancing, music and board games, such as the one being played here, "Tefl", which may have been introduced to this country by the Vikings. Such games often included gambling. Other games in existence at this time included chess, backgammon and Nine Mens Morris.

Re-enactment Spinning with a Drop Spindle
Spinning was the never ending occupation of every mediaeval woman. Her stock of combed and carded fleece went wherever she went and her fingers were busy in every 'idle' moment. The product was a single ply thread for the weaver: two or more were plied together in a similar way to make a thicker yarn which would not unravel.
